Daniela Vezzoler is an Italian artist who lives and works between Brussels, Rome and the Amalfi Coast. She has taught design at the University of Naples and is member of their Art and Design Lab.
In her paintings Vezzoler develops an abstract vocabulary inspired by the connections between the conscious and subconscious. She creates a representation of dreams, where the imagination and reality gently dissolves into the other. Vezzoler is deeply interested in the effects of colour and brings a subtle and sophisticated feel to her paintings through a unique balance of colour, composition and texture. Her works offer a moment of liberation removing, at least temporary, while we dream, the symbols of limitation, revealing themselves freely, in a graceful mix of shades and dynamic movements.
Her work has been displayed in Rome, Brussels and Paris and commissioned to many interior aesthetics.
Vezzoler' works are part of a long term project on social issues where she is focusing on oneiric experiences and dreams. Vezzoler is actively involved in several NGOs projects with the aim to use her art to raise awareness on social issues that are seldom represented on media.
